Once you install a core banking system, change becomes constant. The software handles thousands of different functions, and those functions change as the bank´s services evolve. For example, if the mortgage department decides to offer a new type of mortgage product, the bank must have a project team in place to design and develop a new program, test it and deliver it into the production environment within a reasonable amount of time.

By the same token, the system´s "close of business" activities must be monitored closely. It takes time to run interest calculations and account reports after the bank closes, and supervision is required in order to ensure that these functions run smoothly, in order that the bank is ready for business the following day. SOFGEN can train bank staff, have a team on call, or have a team on site to perform monitoring functions.
