The SEM Engine consists of 3 main elements:
The Request
This is the main table where users define the identification of a specific event (this event could be internal or external to TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™) and the subsequent actions/workflows to be executed. This parameter table is built on an enquiry concept (if "condition", then "action", else "action"…).
Example:
The condition represents the input of a new customer.
The actions could be the automatic creation of a current account, an overdraft limit, sending a confirmation to the customer and duplicating the input into a third party system.
The Scanner
Enables the scanning of the TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ transaction journal in order to identify a specific event and execute the subsequent predefined actions/workflows. Scanning frequencies can either be batch based or any free definable intervals.
The Database Triggers
Fully online real time event identification and execution of subsequent predefined actions/ workflows. Filtering conditions can be defined. The trigger allows synchronous and asynchronous events directly at the database level for workflows and systems requiring immediate checks and updates.
Highlights:
-
No routines needed for workflows
-
Fully TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ integrated
-
Parameter driven
-
Scanning and/or trigger facility
-
Internal/external workflows
