The concept of the SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER is to link all different databases, without any limit on the number, to a single and independent SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER inbuilt database through an automatic pointer.
Users will be asked to create a project (bundle of one or many different elements as: input screens, source code, static data elements, data records, object code …).
Based on a check-out/check-in methodology to disable 2 or more users to work on the same project at the same time, the project will then be saved (image) on the SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER database and, through a mouse click, installed (authorized or INAU) and/or compiled on the next environment in the defined workflow.
At UAT stage, testers will have the additional choice between rejecting the project and sending it back to the development environment or accepting it for the production. In the latter case the project will also automatically be installed.
At any stage, the project status and full audit trail (current and historic) can be retrieved on an online basis, using a version type concept.
Thanks to its full TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ integration, the SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER automates a certain number of tasks that are normally performed manually, such as compilation of programs, installing of object code, creation of files, updating dictionaries …
The SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER also recognizes the concept of multi-company and multi-sites.
The SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER provides its own integrated security management, thus enabling role assignments to users and a Unix ID to avoid developers working around the audit trail.
The SOFGEN CHANGE MANAGER is fully integrated in the TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ banking solution and available on each desktop within linked environments.
