• SAS.ARCHIVE is a new template in which the user can define parameters/ settings for the files to be archived
• The archival process can be run either online or in batch process
• If the requirement is to have the archival process automated then it can be defined as part of the BATCH process
• If the archival is run online then it should be ensured that there are no other users in TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ at the time of archival
• The archival can be set for any desired frequency based on the banks requirements and has the possibility to define different frequencies for different files
• The archiving process is automated using the new EOD routine SAS.EOD.BATCH
• The SAS.ARCHIVE module also enables us to run the archiving process when the system is online

As a general principal, the archiving of any data from any TEMENOS GLOBUS™/ T24™ data file is done in two logical steps:

1. Archiving of data that exceeds the retention criteria into a new archive file.
2. Deletion of selected data from the live data file.
